erm then your mad.
NFSU 2 isn't even a burnout 3 contender its in a different class of its own, Burnout 3 is about insane speeds and knocking your opponants of the track, NFSU 2 is about street racing and pimping your car.
Why do people compare racing games all under the same style when they cleary achieve different things

It won't look any better on Xbox than PS2 because EA are lazy. Every EA game I have seen lately looks like they just ported it from PS2 with no extra effort to use the Xbox to the max. Apart from Burnout 3 of course but that wasnt really EA was it.

now nfsu2 is arcade, so my theory might not work..
but the theory is the worse ratings the car games get , the better they are in game feeling, that is how the car handles ect that theory sure works on richard burns rally atleast
also a game that needs 4hours of learn in courve.. a reviewer will give shitty score cause they only test fps that any shithead can play just aim and shoot..
when it comes to take a car around a track as fast as possible u need to know alittle theory and alot of practise..
thats my 2cents

I agree with you on that as far as the latest releases go, but the Xbox version of the original NFSU looks a shitload better than the PS2 version so here's hoping it's the same case with NFSU2.

Maybe they are just doing an honest review of the game. and not giving into all the hype that surrounds releases such as this and halo 2..
not everyone is overawed by a game just because everyone else raves about it..
After all it is just a racing game and they are pretty simple and boring to play unless you are 7 yrs old

reg67 : no racing simulators arent simple.. this is a arcade racer thou, that is simple and realy anoying too.. realy wasnt worth the bandwidth imho..
juiced, srs and nfsu2.. pretty good record to screw up three promising racing games..
guess its just GT4 and Forza Motorsports left....
flatout was somewhere in the middle..

this version really shows up badly compared to the pc one, grahics are horrid - pc version looks so much better - sloppy conversion i think as xbox can do so much better
jaggies everywhere on this one on the old xbox - which is a shame

Dammit i hate this game, Burnout 3 beats it in every respect.
It got over 9 from IGN.. that's madness, maybe EA payed them off. Gamespot's 7.4 is more on the ball in my opinion.

Ok, I got the PC version first, thought it's pretty nice, but waited for the Xbox ver.
Now it's clear - if you have the machine to handle it, the PC version is much better in every term, even gameplay wise.
Peace.

I enjoy this game more than burnout 3. Like everyone says, the graphics do suck a little. I would actually say the graphics are the same as the old one. I usually say racing games are best on xbox rather than PC, but it wasnt the case with need for speed und1. It was much better on the PC. Its a shame that EA, dont update the graphics. The PS2 is holding this game back

my mistake - i grabbed the NTSC - NOGRP version, that version worked perfectly, as usual leave it to the amatures and you get a good release, scene release's tend to be borked these days lol

i have tried nogrp ntsc version and pal dnl, both have same issue for me
am i doing something wrong?
