Im using virtual dub 1.9.8, and subtitler 2.4
And iv got all the codecs I need, and it works flawlessly with xvid releases iv downloaded.
But not the ones iv converted. And of course iv been googleing, and it seems like its fixed by installing different codec packs. But I find it kinda strange that the ones iv converted doesn't want to be opened. Get the message that its not a VFW (video for windows) file etc. The file looks identical to other .avi files that opens just fine. Hardcoding them also works great.
so wtf is up with these files I convert Sad Using youtube downloader to convert them btw

So I know it doesn't have anything to do with the codec packs.

Try XVid4PSP 5 from winnydows. It's very easy to use and I had no problems adding subtitles to wmv avi or mp4 Smile

But im just doing the Hitler bunker Wink


And thanks PumpAction, will try it out. Made it work now with virtual dub, after I "fixed" my .avi file with Pinnacle studio. But will try xvid4psp Very Happy
