it has only 109 mb
Its not standalone, altought you can install it without original version, but you cant play it.

and you need patch 1.2 too.

yeah it reqires the original (this game is very good btw), but re: the patch -- doesnt this version update the orig to the newest ver (patch it for you) when you install?

It said I need to have installed atleast patch 1.2 in order to run Galactic_Civilizations_Altarian_Prophecy.
So you need:
Galactic_Civilizations-FLT
Galactic.Civilizations.v1.20.Update-LXTDOX

Wow! In an age of large Addons (2 CDs) this one is absolutely tiny. It probably makes sense just to find the original game and repackage it with this addon as its so small. Seems real stupid to NOT include the original with this addon when they shipped this out considering how small the addon is. I mean, how much content was added for 64mb that justifies this addon as being something worth purchasing? Consumers aren't stupid although if they initially found out how small the addon was they'd likely be pissed. NOT WORTH IT UNLESS ITS INCORPORATED WITH THE ORIGINAL = STANDALONE = MORE VALUE ADDED! Original + Expansion = Galactic Civilizations Deluxe and I believe it costs $29.99. The expansion costs $19.95 and both can be downloaded it online via Stardock. Also, it seems Galactic Civilizations 2 will be released Q4 2005.
