Handbrake only seems to spit out either mp4 or mkv, to make sure this isnt about codecs, just need to change it from mkv ( with only a video and audio stream ) to avi for compatability sake. Would prefer a no bullshit freeware program that only needs a few clicks. thanks

First, this is not what this tool does. It merely replaces the MKV container with VOB. Smile

Second, if it was to transcode to MPEG2, it would have taken hours. Smile
