I bought a new laser printer (OKI B2200), had an ink jet before (and the text was black), and now I can't print black text using OpenOffice (only OO, with other apps like wordpad or notepad everything is normal), all the text is in a light shade of gray.

Tried every option I could find (print in best quality, black only, etc) and nothing changes. Seems like it's stuck in draft mode or something.

Any ideas?

And again, this is ONLY in open office, using other apps is fine.

Is OO using some custom printing software? Because usually software just uses the Windows API and thus achieving the same results as other software. If they are using custom software, then perhaps it is in need of calibration or choosing a different color profile (I know people has similar problems with Adobe software due to color profiles).

No idea. It has a custom (havent seen elsewhere) printer setting called "Print in black", but I tried and nothing changes. The rest is just like any other software (regarding printer settings).
