|
 |
Hi I downloaded Xvid4PSP and wanted to convert an avi to mp4 with hardencoded subs.
After the conversion the resulting mp4 has the right size but there is no audio and it does not matter if I select MP3 oder MP2 sound
KMPlayer and VLC play the sound but the windows media player. But I convert the vids for a windows mobile phone and I don't want to install a 3rd party player.

Try SUPER. It's free, has lots of options, and converts from and to every format available I think.

Super gives me a brutal headache, such a shitty GUI I really don't know where to start.
But I solved the problem by replacing the sound with AAC CBR instead of MP3
Windows Media Player has no problems playing MP3s with Layer 3 Version 2, but not if they are imbedded in an mp4 :/
Still thx!

MeGUI + subtitles enabled in ffdshow. Very easy GUI, auto bitrate calculation, etc.
I can post a visual guide if needed.

Thanks leo, sounds good but XVID4PSP really does everything I need I just need to check if it can hardencode .sub files (.srt work fine).
The MP4s play fine on the touch diamond 2

You can play untouched dvdrips on TD2 just fine, no need for converting.

Will the windows media player on windows mobile play xvids?
But I need it to display the subs too (.sub and .srt)
Further my fiancee is on 512KBit DSL with 3GB limit per month I covert the 200MB rips to 40-50MB MP4 and hardencode the subs and upload it for her

you best download CorePlayer... it is much faster and much more compatible than anything else.

The core player was great until I upgraded to the official 6.5 for my tp2. Now all the videos playback at POOR performance. And I didn't wanted my fiancee to get the core player too
