No, they test both your IP and credit card details for their origins. They're being really strict about europeans playing on the US servers, because they want as many players as possible when they launch it in europe.

Maybe if you went through a US proxy, and had a bank account in america you could. Very Happy

You're wrong.

I qoute, from the Blizz info letter i received today:

"For those European gamers still wishing to play with their American friends on the North American servers, and vice versa, Blizzard will provide a means to make this possible after the European launch."

I'm not wrong. Thats with the european version on american servers, not playing the american version in europe on american servers.

So thats after the european release.

Get a clue cock knocker.

Come again?

Maybe you should read the qoute again:

"For those European gamers still wishing to play with their American friends on the North American servers, and vice versa, Blizzard will provide a means to make this possible after the European launch."

What don't you understand?

djbrummos asked if he could import the american version and play it in in europe. Unless you have an american credit card and use a US based proxy the answer is no.

That quote has nothing to do with it. Thats about playing on american servers with the european version after it's release, or playing on european servers with the american version.

Bearing in mind no european servers exist at the moment (apart from closed beta) what exactly is your point?

Do you get it now?

Wow, the pre-order of the Collector's Edition in Europe went FAST! It's sold out in most European countries now. Pre-ordered mine today (in the Netherlands) and two hours later it was sold out there as well... too bad Dutch people don't get an open beta key with it... I played the US open beta (Blizzard wasn't checking IP's to be US with that, apparently) and I can't wait to play again!

It's a mmorpg, no single player.

Besides EQ2 is much better.

I almost started to write why WOW is better than EQ2... then I realised that I've never played EQ2, so I guess I'd better not Laughing

I liked WOW so much that I can't believe that any other MMORPG is better... but it's the first one I actually played so I really cannot compare with anything.

So, someone that HAS played both, tell me, what's better about EQ2 and what's worse?

Neither is better, they are both respectable games, and both live up to being new generation MMORPG's that continue to add support for the latest features and innovations of the genre.

Ahh well thats where you're wrong. I played wow in beta upto US release. It just didn't seem as polished as EQ2. From the moment you step onto the tutorial on EQ2 it's as almost as if you're entering a new world. With WOW I just though it was a lot less well made. The graphics are no where as good as EQ2's nor is the audio. The only thing better on wow was pvp. But if you want pvp just wait until Guild wars is released. Thats not pay to play, even though it has persistant servers.

Some of my friends will be playing this. Unfortunately I won't have the time to play it. I believe It's good a cracked version together with cracked servers comes out for mmorpg's as long as It's used for testing purpuoses
