Alright, so today I was supposed to start classes at 9:50 AM, have 1 lesson and then we were supposed to go to the philharmonics. I stayed up late last night, up to 2:30 AM (was watching Inglourious Basterds again).

So, this first lesson was civil defence course and I was supposed to write a test.

So yeah, usually my mom wakes me up at around 7 AM, but today(she's a teacher also) she has gone to a trip with her class. I forgot to turn my alarm clock.

To my surprise, I woke up at 6 AM. Since my lessons started at 9:50 I was like "Man, what am I going to do in that time, I'm going to sleep again". This time I set my alarm clock at 8 AM.

Guess what.

Alarm clock in my mobile phone AUTOMATICALLY switches the date of alarm to the next day, ie if I put it on 8AM on it's Wednesday, it will ring on 8AM on Thursday.

So, FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU- since no one will believe me I actually overslept, but that I missed civil defence course on purpose to avoid the test and avoid the philharmonics, since we didn't have lessons anyway.

Anyway, got a free day, so... Laughing

She works as a teacher, why wouldn't she wake me up if she always has lessons at 8? I still do my breakfast etc by myself, it's only waking up.

Besides, I'm only 17, so... Razz

How exactly being waken up by my mum makes me lazy? It's pure convenience FFS, she also gets up at 7 so she might as well wake ME up.

I think what people don't agree with here is that your parents are waking you up. If the alarm don't go off that is one thing but they are NOT your clock!

Use a digital bedside clock, and stick batteries in it, in case of power shortage.
