The game installation completed successfully, but I'm having issues patching the game to 1.2 (the latest version). The first time, the 1.10-1.11 patch worked alright, but 1.11-1.20 stopped before finishing, saying it had encountered an unexpectedly modified file, which is impossible. After reinstalling the game, the 1.11 patch coughed up an error this time, whining that the patch itself was corrupt! I think I tried once more, and the same patch gave a "modified file" error. I ran all patches as administrator, and with my anti-virus disabled.
It's not a hardware problem as far as I know, as I've tested both RAM and hard drives. Seems Windows 7 often has trouble with patching pre-Vista games likes this one. Supreme Commander had similar problems with its 3280 patch.
Thoughts?
EDIT: After reinstalling the game the first time, I had tried the WinXP SP3 compatibility option.
