I'm playing ps 3 on 1360x768 with hdmi cabel in 720p or 1080p and the graphics are kinda blurry. I don't mind the lack of anty-aliasing but is it supposed to look that blurry?
Can't really answer your question without more information. It could be subjective, it could be the television/LCD (just because it has a resolution of 720p doesn't mean it's image quality is good), it could be the settings on the PS3 and/or the TV/Monitor, or it could be the games your playing (some have good graphics, some have bad graphics). There's no way of knowing from such little information - but I will say that if you are a PC user used to pixel sharp graphics in everything you do then 'HD consoles' don't compare favourably... but the PS3 has a bluray player, so stick in something good and if it still looks blurry then something is wrong.
I have used my PS3 in standard definition, 720p and 1080p across a variety of screens and setups (HDMI & SCART) and the XMB is the best way of comparison. I was surprised at the difference in image quality between sets though, and standard definition wasn't that bad (on a good CRT) but it was definitely a lot harder to read subtitles in games.
*also since your set is not 1080p, keep your PS3 in 720p. Games (especially Sony ones) will make use of that and add extra anti-aliasing.
Well i guess i haven't slept in while. Now that i slept i can think more clearly and i can tell the graphics are good enough. I guess not as good as on pc but good enough.Maybe if i remember about the times i played on ps 1 and ps 2 they look much better
