Is there a way to download xbox360 updates from other sources than live marketplace, burn them on dvd and copy to console's hdd without spending money on that stupid microshit points?

Title Updates includes many gameplay tweaks they are essentially patches, We
have put these together so you can enjoy full patched games whether you are
banned from Xbox Live or simply dont have an internet connection.Title updates
consist of improvements and bug-fixes to specific Xbox 360 games.
The game then loads the update the next time you play. This allows game
developers to continually improve their products, and all you have to do is dive
in and lose yourself in the ever-improving action.

Did that update pack work for anyone else? I copied the updates to my Partition 3/cache but nothing happened when I tried Fifa 09, Far Cry2, Saints Row2 or Tiger Woods 09.........

Yes, you can download arcade game demos and transfer them to hdd but you won't be able to unlock full version because they are protected with DRM.
This thread is about FREE game updates which are easily sharable, so let's not get offtopic with DRM protected arcade games and DLCs.

yeah i would love to share forza 3 update but i'm too lazy to disassemble my hdd coz i don't have xsata or any other devices that can transfer files from xbox hdd to pc, neither i can find it anywhere nearby
so yeah anyone with not banned console and latest games could upload some patches would be nice for banned ppl

I've been wondering about game patches over the last few days as well. I'd like to get UFC Undisputed but the AI wasn't great before the patch so I'd rather not play the pre-patched version.
Hopefully with more people banned, we'll see updates released regularly as well.

* The addition of cockpit view driver shift animations.
* Fixes for all known Time Trial and Leaderboard exploits/bugs.

Good stuff, thanks. But I wonder what do they mean by "x360 tools"? Is it actual app name? Opening each update out of 122 with notepad and checking title sucks.

Guys, I'm looking to apply the latest Gears of War 2 Update to my banned console (October - 5th update).
Any instructions/tutorials how to go about obtaining the actual update files and them applying them to the game?

This is a supplementary game title list for the 360 TitleUpdate
pack released yesterday: GAMES.UPDATE.XBOX360.OFFLINE-TU
We're pretty sure nobody wants to manually go through a set of 122
files -- first to find out what they are, and then figure out which
ones they want.
We already had the means to automatically parse all the files and
spit out an alphabetized list, so we wanted to save everyone the
trouble of having to do it on their own.
The TitleUpdate files can be transferred to your 360 HDD via several
means, including Datel XSATA, Datel XPORT, MS Xbox 360 HDD Transfer
Kit Cable, HDD Connectivity Kit, hooking up the bare HDD, etc.
Some suitable software for transferring by the aforementioned
methods are the Xplorer360 or Xport 360 PC applications.
As TU indicated, the files go into the /partition3/cache directory.

hmm isnt you suppose to get some sort of msg once you put xx title update in the part3/cache folder?
like would you like to update or something?
forza 3 dont say a thing for me , i have alot of files in the cache folder so maybe i need to clear it

No. But it's easy to check if forza update is working, simply race in cockpit view and if you see gear shift animation means it's working.
