|
 |
Hey people.
I got a question for you guys.
My last XBOX360 got banned begin November.
I bought a new one and firmware'd it again etc etc.
/me didn't care a shit of playing early releases online and /me never checked if it was verified by ABGX. Now with my 3rd XBOX360 that I just bought, I want to be very carefull this year and check if it's working.
Now here's my question: Is playing Region Free games more detectable for Micrococks to detect for banning etc? (im in a pal region) (Netherlands)
Thanks
Greetz,
Snoepgun.

As long as you play after the official release date *in your region* then I think you're fine.
Truth is, all discussions about ban reasons are guesswork. Always validate the images though.

Why should region free games be easier to detect as copies? I don't see the logic behind it.

Because if some games are made for lets take PAL and they'r region free. And just play the game on an NTSC console, then I think M$ can see you're playing a PAL game on a NTSC console which is kinda weird.
Allthough. Thats my theory I guess..

Stop right there. How can a game be region code free AND region locked to PAL?

Maybe I'm wrong. But sometimes in the NFO I see something like this:
PAL.....REGION FREE
Maybe that makes me kinda mindblowing.

PAL and NTSC are dead, there are no PAL and NTSC games anymore. All X360 games output a video signal following the HDTV standard.
Such nfos mean that the ripped game was bought in Europe, but the game itself is usualy no different then the US version (except for localization), none is flagged as PAL or NTSC.

it's just a misnomer - in this case, PAL only refers to the continent where the game was bought and maybe the languages included (multi5 in most cases).

IT would be better if you simply buy the games you want to play online. You have no problems with buying subscription and 3 consoles, but you won't buy a game? Sounds retarded. |
THINK. Whats cheaper? spending 200 euro's per year or buy EACH game..
I think the second option will empty your wallet very fast.
