...straight, with only one interruption for dinner, writing a fucking design document for Software Engineering. Started at 4:40 pm, finished at 9:30 am. It's done and it feels so fucking good that its done. Now I have a psychology midterm tomorrow. Time to study. Cheers.
I did all the documentation for my degree project in three days with 3 hours of sleep somewhere in between. It worked, but it shortened my life for sure, and I'll never pull something like this again.

it happened to me too, I still remember how I managed to write all the 50 pages (of a management engineering project for the triennial degree) in 4-5 days with almost no sleep..
damn that thing was physically and mentally devastating

My documentation was more like 250 pages (requirement design and testing documents, plus the entire book for my project and some other stuff). To queue in some Bill'O, fucking thing sucks.
I did a 5 week internship some years ago in BASF in July. So i was on holiday in August and September. And the academic year starts @ October. So the first week I am becoming curious if i should write a report or so on the internship.
So at 10am or so i go to the student administration to ask if they know what i should do and then scheduled a meeting with the internships supervisor. So she goes "Well according to the examination rules you have to hand in a 30page report (6 fold) with this, this, this, this and this, signed by your industrial internship supervisor max 6 weeks after finishing your internship'. So i am thinking 'Shit, that was 3 weeks ago'.And then she goes on 'I understand that university was closed during the summer months, so i will give you those 3 weeks. You can bring it to my office tomorrow.'
So i am going 'shit shit shit shit' because we are like 4-5pm, so there are no copy centers whatsoever opened.
So i speed home and start making a internship report with all kinds of bullshit in it, like company profile, company structure, biggest competitors... Probably just copy paste info from the companies press map, but 5pm, so i could not contact anyone at the company anymore.
And then i had to write 20 pages with the stuff i did. So after reading and proofreading i was finished at midnight.
Then some typesetting, because when content is shit, at least make it look good.
and then came the 200page printing on my fucking inktjet printer. What a horror. Pages getting jammed etc. 6 am i was finished. Then a final check, getting all the pages of every copy nicely together. Get out and find the first copycenter to have a nice glued back, plastic cover etc.
8am, get in the car and drive to the company where i did my internship to get a fucking autograph.
And then the shit hit the fan... Some pages HAD to be removed because of confidentiality and that wanker did not want to sign before those pages were out... So back to the copycenter, remove that single page and reglue, back to the company for an autograph.
Finally take the car to university and deliver them at 10am. "Here they are, i had them ready already in august" What a day what a day...
General education requirements ------> boring shit I have to go through.
well i find psychology rather fascinating though
the problematic part can be that you apply it all to yourself
but still kinda strange you get that when studying CE
maybe they don't want you guys to turn out too nerdish

Wow... It's like highschool, you have psychology, history... That's totally weird considering that it's computer related uni, right? It breaks the routine I guess, but if I had to study these kind of things + lab stuff and all the important exams I would be pissed

Well, I don't have to study general ed all 4 years, just fulfill some basic requirements in the first 2 years, and then spend the last 2 years getting my ass owned by compilers, databases, networking etc... But yeah, the History and Psychology shit is annoying as fuck. At least it isn't as bad as a friend of mine who had to take something about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and ended up getting some bitch that gives you an F if you don't write a Pro-Hamas essay every time you have a paper due
