I have had a modded ps2 for a couple years and would like to get an X-box with the aladin advanced chip. Can someone tell me does the x-box work just like a modded ps2? ( no patching or swaping) also tonight I tried burning an x-box iso and when I was finished I couldn't view the files with my pc dvd drive. Is this normal? I know you can see the files on a ps2 dvd with a pc. I just want to be sure I'm burning them right.
I have an Xbox with the Aladdin Advanced modchip. I dunno how the modded PS2 works since I never had mine modded (when I had one). There is no patching or swapping for the Xbox with the Aladdin Advanced modchip that I am aware of. You simply press the power button to use the Xbox with the chip disabled and hold it in to use the Xbox with modchip enabled. Do not upgrade your hard drive if you plan on playing Xbox Live. Even with my modchip disabled, Xbox Live picked up my upgraded HDD and banned my account! It is normal for PC optical drives to be unable to read Xbox media which I believe is why none of the Xbox games have no 'protection' on them but the way round that is to connect a modded Xbox to your PC via a network cable and with an FTP client you can access the contents through the Xbox DVD drive. A good app called Disc Juggler can actually read and create Xbox ISOs from Xbox media
Headshot it right! you cannot read xbox dvds (burnt or orignals) on your pc..
However you can copy burnt xbox dvds, with nero or whatever.
But you cannot copy original xbox games on the pc, its because they are written the opposite way to normal dvds.. outside in instead of inside out.. if that makes sense
to do this you need to ftp the game to your pc and make an iso image out of it..
i use flashfxp to ftp the games and isocraxtion to make an iso..
