Ok, since my pair of old Zalmann headphones finally gave up totally (after soldering the cable inside the headphones for the third time) I'm in the market for some new headphones/headset. They should cost no more than €50-60 (I was recently fired and am on student support while studying at the moment) but still offer some decent sound. Also, no fucking plugs or in-ear or stuff like that, I want big, beefy comfortable things that cover the whole ear.
A thing to note is that my brain probably is wired strange, since I'm no great fan of Sennheiser. My brother's extremely favorably reviewed Sennheisers in the "somewhat cheap" segment left me unimpressed since the sound, while being very crisp, lacked richness. My nephew's Sennheiser headset that he paid something like €100 was even worse, and left me with a "what-the-fuck-is-this-shit" feeling since they honestly sounded like they should cost €10.
I'd be extremely grateful for any good suggestions.

Thanks for giving me a link to a thread about headphones around €100, mostly Sennheisers.  But yeah, I probably should've posted in that thread instead, though I didn't find it with a cursory glance through the first few pages. Anyone have any experience with AKG headphones? I've never heard of em before, but you pay for what you get..usually.

Honestly, stick to razer or seinheisser. |
