Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1055369/

Quote:
Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) discovers something about the origins of the Transformers and their history on Earth. The evil Decepticons need to capture him for information. The climactic battle takes place at the Giza pyramid complex, where a temple is located within. Lorenzo di Bonaventura explained the film will show the Transformers who visited Egypt before the pyramids were built, and "all our heroes end up here because of the Decepticons' masterplan". Furthermore, Egyptian hieroglyphs resembling helicopters in real life will be explained in the film as being depictions of those ancient Cybertronians who visited Earth

Great, waiting for this! But hopefully the Transformers will have more screen time this time around...

visually it's indeed awesome, but I bet that when this movie comes out, it's core story will be fitted for retarded people, this summer, I'm really only counting with 2 movies, Terminator 4 and Wolverine, been hearing here and there that T4 will be one of those movies that will make history, let's wait and see.

+1

This movie is getting wayyy too much hype. Nice actors, but the team behind the movie hasn't made anything worthy of T2 or similar movies in the genre.

Also the teaser looks alright but based on the previous film it's gonna be a brainless cgi flick made for the masses...

Damn. Didn't know that.

I HATE CHARLIE'S ANGELS.

But I still hope that T4 will be good.

Come back when you grow up, please. Rolling Eyes

Besides, the Bourne trilogy, Batman Begins, Iron Man and The Dark Knight all showed you you can have a great summer block buster, with a lot of effects, and still have a great story. Michael Bay, and the team of writers he works with, should be banned from movie making for good.

QFMFT.

He DESTROYED the first Transformers movie. I hold no hopes he won't do the same shit here.

I thought the same thing, 11 years ago when I was 14. Laughing
Now, I need meat on the bone. I need characters with depth that resonate with an intelligent story. I need emotions, the human kind. I don't need a 'Freud'-movie per se, just some level of intelligence. The best movies are the ones that give something back to the viewer. Transformers does not. It just makes me feel stupid, along with the rest of most other cardboard mainstream movies.

But seriously, whatever your age is, I respect your opinion.

Bourne ? hand fight.hand fight.rooftop chase/car chase.the end. CUT , CUT , CUT .
Batman Begins was just ok IMO.
Iron man? your joking. Smile what good story? american captured in captivity by bad arab terrorists makes an uber suit ? and a lame fight at the end?
and yeah TDK kicked ass. i agree with you.these kind of movies are rare.

FROM AN ENTERTAINMENT point of view i love these movies and judjing by their B.O im not the only one.ur too harsh on T2 and Bay.or you dont have any guilty pleasures? Very Happy

Can anyone please give a good example of how to make Trans-fucking-formers NOT a brainless flick?
Jesus... it's supposed to be just like that. Just what effect in IronMan were better than in TF? Same fancy CGI and explosions.

Bourne...story... hehehehe Very Happy
I read books and movie has very little in common with books. He wasn't even a killer in books(he was pretending), but in movies they made him killer-machine for hire with amnesia ^^

The books were actually fairly sedate thrillers, people would have fallen asleep in the cinema had they been directly translated to movie form.

Besides, if you actually get the story the films (especially the first and third) are actually really well developed. If all you saw is action then obviously you weren't paying much attention.

Transformers 1 was actually fully true to the Transformers formula. Cheesy, story is weak and alot of cool robots. I don't think Micheal Bay was at fault, even though I don't really like his style. You don''t expect a brillaint drama and great character development from a GI Joe movie do you?

Of course I saw more, I love these movies and they are very good. But comparing story to books, it is pretty shallow.

But isn't this always true? You can't have all the information found in a book in 2-3 hours (or even 12 hours - LotR). When I go to see a movie, I expect to be entertained for 2-3 hours, not 2-3 days. With that said, I expect the entertainment to still have some value. Now, Laurentiu499 might enjoy these movies now (he's probably eleven ), but he will see my point when he grows up. Smile
