My mom still lives in the 90's / early 2000's. Her computer is like a P3 500 and she dont even have internet.
She watch a lot of TV's but theres some shows that air on channels we're not getting here. So i want to get her a XviD player, nothing fancy but that will do the job. I saw this one one Ebay http://tinyurl.com/yd5slm6
Looks quite easy to set up but there's one thing about it that i dont get. It says video format *.avi (<720*576), does this mean it support only 720*576 and higher or lower??? Cause most movies and tv shows in XviD are lower than that. Just want to be sure before i buy her that one.

Yeah, looks good enough. "<720*576" would mean lower than 720x576.

Xvids are rarely used for HD content anyway. These players for standard TVs. You should be fine.
However, I mus warn you, some players have issues with some Xvid files encoded with Qpel. This player will probably have the issue as well, but Qpel encodes are rare.
