Had to do an emergency vista reinstall and lost all of my fucking save games. Neverwinter nights 2, Witcher, Empire Total War. I fucking love those games but I just don't want to start all over again.
Fuck.

If you did a reinstall and didn't format, the files could be in C:\Windows.OLD

had that happen to me too, I managed to salvage all my PC games off it tho, just in time too, 5 minutes later the HD completely failed and couldn't get anything else off of it. I've got an external for backup of my storage HD now.

Mine was spinning but nothing, I wanted to take it for forensic recovery but it was under guarantee so I took it back to service and the mofos yust gave me new disk... And all my uni stuff was on that disc... I was so mad!!
But hey life goes on and now I'm making backup every month
