the DSi is meant to be a tool against piracy in and by itself, but some games will also have an extra protection scheme (extra chip on the game-card i think). We ll have to wait and see if there are ways to circumvent the piracy measures. But the DSi itself is an awesome unit and some of the games may be even worth the money imho
well, you can play copies of normal game-card games with adapters like M3i, R4i and similar but i havent heard anything yet about copying or running DSiware
ok, I found some DSiware games and tried them with emulator, but they are not working,
it seems DSiware can be leaked to the net,but we need updated emulator to play them.
a DSiware game is DRMed and can only be played on the unit it was downloaded to. So you can copy it to your sd-card and then transfer it to your pc as a backup, so you can copy it back later. BUT you cannot transfer it to a different unit. Either the firmware has to be hacked or a way to be found that makes it possible to change the DRM-values of the DSiware to match the DSi that the game is transfered to.
