I haven't played any Super Mario game since Super Mario World.
So it took me some self convincing to play Super Mario Galaxy and so far I was having a blast until all of a freaking sudden the difficulty thought it was funny to pull an exponential function on me...
I consider myself to be an adept gamer in most genres but fuck me sideways.
In the last couple of years it always felt like somewhere halfway through the developers just yank the difficulty up for no reason. I don't mind a good difficulty curve but shit like this is uncalled for...

(nevertheless Super Mario Galaxy is up to now THE most fun platform jump & run I've played in a long time )
I found Mirror's Edge to be rather easy (together with it being rather short ^^)
but nonetheless epic

(SMW hacks have the advantage of being able to use save states )
Oh fuck this shit.
I haven't yet finished the game but I found out that after getting all 120 stars (which is a pain in the ass anyway, I'm at 84 right now) you have to (can) go through all 120 stars again with luigi to get to the last 121st star.
And since I'm somewhat suffering from OCD regarding video games I'll have to do that.

and it's not that their unfindable, I just think it's ridiculous having to play through the same game twice only to really complete it.
Especially in an platforming jump & run where there's not really much replay value to begin with (unless the levels change drastically when you go through with Luigi, something I doubt, but if it's the case, just forget my ranting)
