Arcadecraft is a realtime strategy Arcade economics simulator. Starting in January of 1980 the player is given the task to run a sustainable arcade. To accomplish this goal they have to purchase arcade games from the various fictional manufacturers and place them within their retail space so that they can earn money. The more money the machines make, the more games you can buy!

Yes, Arcadecraft was on Greenlight before but was pulled as it was impossible for us to port it at the time. However the game is now a few weeks away from being complete for PC! The Xbox Live Indie version of the game has sold 65,000 copies and demanding emails from PC players convinced us to complete it and bring it back.

PC Features:
    ◾Mouse Control Support
    ◾Keyboard Control Support
    ◾Xbox 360 Gamepad Support
    ◾16:9 Resolutions from 1280×720 to 1920×1080
◾Higher resolution textures and UI art.
◾New Character Models with Redone Animations
    ◾Selectable Characters
◾All of the Xbox 360 content updates released so far are included
◾More than 100 arcade machines to place
    ◾Sim from 1980 to 1987

Release date: Early 2014
Price: $14.99
Beta available by buying it on Humle Store:https://www.humblebundle.com/store/product/arcadecraft/Arkdowkd1

Yesssssss! It's about goddamn time, I've been waiting for this since 2011 Very Happy The price hike is immense though, going from a $2.99 XBLIG title to a $14.99 PC one, but I guess that's what happens with indie ports, same with Android/iOS releases too. Hopefully the PC version has modding support so people can add their own cabinets or extend the sim time so it doesn't end in the 80s.

Go to mid-late 90's and you'll have a guaranteed bankruptcy. Reaction

That’s right! We have just put up a FREE demo for Arcadecraft playable on Windows PCs.

This demo allows you to play through the first year of the game and experience a lot of the interaction and functionality of Arcadecraft for the PC. You will find almost an hour of gameplay, many of the game characters and events, and a taste of all of the cabinet types available in the game.

This demo is based around the most recent version of the Arcadecraft Beta for PC so there is still incomplete art and the possibility of bugs

Still waiting for the next beta update, since this one is fairly buggy and has a year limit imposed. Also, despite MULTIPLE requests, the devs have ignored questions about modding or tweaking the game as well as an infinite play mode.

Devs (or modders) should link it to MAME so the real games actually available to use...

Wahey!! Get my Steam key soon then \o/ The dev hasn't really been posting all that much lately though, and quite a few questions have gone unanswered, which is a shame.

To be honest I haven't noticed much difference from the beta, though I there's no modding support nor a way of extending passed the 1987 deadline, two of the most requested features :\

Arcadecraft has just been updated with new content!

In response to some players finding the game quite difficult, we have added two all new, PC exclusive, arcade machines to help out! These two new machines, Fast Eight and Quarterback Sack, are both available from the very beginning and both fall into the sports genre which is otherwise not available in the first 12-24 months of simulation. A variety of game genres is integral to a thriving arcade and having these two machines available from the get go will give players a small but noticeable boost to their arcade popularity which drives revenue across the board.

Sadly this doesn't do anything for the overall feel and gameplay, which I'm deeply saddened to say is highly lacklustre Sad There's no real reason to continue playing this once you've paid off your initial loan as once you've done that.. you've already seen everything there is to see and done everything there is to do. I spent a long time anticipating this game and I paid well over the odds for the PC version ($15 compared to the 360's $3) but came away thoroughly disappointed. I'd gotten to 1984, survived the "crash" (which basically just lowered your arcade "popularity" by 3 stars for the single year) and that was it, I spent the remaining 3 years of the timer just being thoroughly bored - playing on autopilot and just listening to my music on the jukebox. Such a shame as this game could have been a FANTASTIC simulator/tycoon, but ... well... just isn't Sad

That's not to say it's a terrible game, it's got a lot of potential and spirit, but there's just no gameplay to it. Each month you buy a new cabinet, sell an old/less popular one if you've got no room, then plonk it down. Rinse repeat every month for 7 years.
