Elite 360 No Longer Ships With HD Cables

ok but you would expect those to BE IN the box... whats next? they will remove the xbox360 pad and force you to buy it ?

The cables I agree with your point.
The console I can't. It's not exactly an unexected rise. The pound is struggling, and has been for some time against the Euro. However, in the UK the general level in wages is significantly higher than the rest of europe, and in general the rest of the world. Therefore, it makes sense for MS to raise the price as ultimately its all proportional.
Now, living in the UK I don't exactly welcome the rise, I know within 12 months I'll RROD and be looking at a new box. 12 months ago you could get the arcade for under £100 and now we might see a rise of 60%. However, I bet you can find a decent deal assuming you don't buy a console in a silly place (i.e. game)

I don't usually believe Gamestop employees about anything, but looking at this photo of the new Arcade box (right) next to an old Arcade box (left), it does appear that not only is their no HDMI cable, but no component either!

if you read more the arcade has now a higher price and the five XBLA games will no longer be included in the bundle, either!!!!!!!!!!
i can get the price but WHY DID THEY REMOVE THE FREE GAMES DISK !??

This is BS, especially in this economical climate, no one's gonna want to pay MORE now, and with the PS3 price drop that just happened yesterday, MS has definitely lost it.
