There is no future otherwise people would be back from the future, we are extinct as a human race!

No humans = no time travel Wink

Makes me wonder!

Who says humans are still as humans are? Evolutionary changes to us as beings will happen.. You need to wonder a bit more and widen your scope Very Happy

the soul purpose of the universe's existence is to create and preserve life and consciousness, just because you know that we are chemical reactions doesn't make it shit and meaningless, meaning is a human creation

Question is, does time really excist or is time a man-made creation?

Depends on what you define as "time".

This is fun to watch:

You cannot define time, you can describe it, you can feel the flow of time but you cannot define it.The same is with mass.

say we did somehow unravel 'time' and how to bend it at our will ..
it's a really delicate thing to mess with , supposed the future peopulation of earth would know that a small change could make a big difference in time , and thus making modifications in the past will lead to an alternate future , a future where time travel wasnt possible

Nope, that's not possible. Possibly Laughing

EDIT: Did you notice that the server's time is a bit off? I posted at 19:29 yet it says 19:36. Well, it's the time travel topic Smile

Isn't time a purely human concept rather than a physical property? It is just a unit created to measure its own passage. Bizarre! Even when talking about the 4th dimension we are talking about it in terms of a human frame of reference even if we use the time of creation of the universe as the point of origin. For all we know there could have been many universes before this one.

Yep, it is used to simplify things, just as mass is (altho with the comming of the CREN experiment who knows Very Happy). As a matter of a fact whole physics is made to be understandable by humans, concepts and such.

I can make whole new theory that can be pure shit for our universe and our surroundings, but if I say, well it works in universe with such and such properties then fine. It would be complete waste of time, but it doesn't mean one cannot do it for fun Very Happy

Very interesting discussion about the definition of time. Imagine if we didnt have the moon, our entire concept of time would be different. Maybe we would count time in cycles which imo is more valid considering the movement of the earth around itself and the sun.
What does this tell us about the possiblities of time travel....

I really don't see the connection between the moon and the concept of time Confused

Artifacts from the Palaeolithic suggest that the moon was used to calculate time as early as 12,000, and possibly even 30,000 BP.

time travel exists Very Happy its just wonky and your brain goes poop Sad

they're still trying to properly fix it Sad you really dunno if it worked until someone finds a way back and somehow contacts us Sad

worst thing about time travel is your brain gets all kinds of fuzzy feelings and when you get back you can't breathe for a bit Crying or Very sad

and it's not wondefurous either! they fuckin' cant set a proper time period cause of all the gay shit that happened in 2021 Sad

people can go back in time and they can go ahead in time. but they can't fully control it and they can't test it to check if it works Razz

lol bit is tho... the whole other dimensions and strings of time shit... Laughing you go back in time, you end up in a different time string and you can't change anything cause a) you remember very little, b) you're dizzy as shit for a couple days c) your brain adapts to the whole OOOOOOOOO factor d) you go mad and you can't tell anyone anything, you can't do anything, and you can't contact anyone Sad

you're pretty much screwed. and they can't fix that Sad calculating the exact position where you want to be is also impossible Crying or Very sad if the uniberse didn't move and expand Razz it'd be awesomer easy!

but Very Happy time travel is possible... just not as awesome as on tv and movies Sad

ps. we don't evolve for at least 200 - 220 years and by then we don't really live here anyone Very Happy
