ive been converting some old music videos for my ipod and some just wont sync. im using megui for conversion and replacing the audio with proper rips from my collection.. i start with encoding the vids then the mp3/flac to mp4 for audio, do an initial mux and play the file to test if its too early or too late, some match right up. anyways, from within mpc i can set the delay for audio, so i get everything where i want it then load the original vid/new audio into megui under mp4mux, set the delay i figured and do a final mux... then i play the file and its totally out of sync, in some cases worse then just throwing them both together..
so im just wondering if my method is flawed and what you guys would do different in cases like this.. thanks

Are we talking about AAC audio? It's been known that it sometimes introduces sync issues. I recommend using the NeroAAC codec, it is a lot better than the one that comes with MeGUI.
Also, why are you encoding MP3 to AAC? Reencode = quality loss. I understand the need for FLAC, and the AAC file quality at similar size to MP3 would be much much better, especially for the ranges, but what's the point of converting an MP3 encode to AAC?

yeah its aac just in a .mp4 container and is also done with neroaac.. and i would leave it as mp3 but i dont think the ipod will play videos with mp3 audio..
