ya know, people bash americans for their sueing happy asses.
Well it's shit like that is when america being sue happy comes into play.
Users getting banned for playing a game online before release date because Best Buy, Wal*Mart, Toys R Us or some shit decided to break the street date?
That shit will simply not fucking fly.

Looks like only NTSC users were hit because it was prerelease review copy, unclear if PAL users are effected or not. Seeing as NTSC release was ripped more than 3 weeks before street date, and PAL only 10 days in advance. Also NTSC was released by unknown group and PAL by a trusted group that never released shit.
Bottom line people should know better, unplug cable when playing games early.

hope its just forza3. I usually am very careful about playing a game only after release date, but I jumped the ball yesterday with FIFA10. My league has already been playing since Oct 2nd and seeing the NTSC release, I couldnt be stopped from playing it online. Anyway I will have my invoice when the game actually ships on 20th, so hopefully no worries.

btw,if we quite "know" that the 360 store the info of the game you played and uploaded them online,why hackers just can't hack this?
,and with a hack,people will be able to
just to turn off the console from live,and play early,without the worry from the console to "snitch" on you to M$

Online or did you go online after you played?
How does this banning process actually work? Do they fry you if you play a pre-R online(while you'r on live/going on live now and then) or do they ban you if you played a pre-R ever, like it doesn't matter if you played a pre-R six weeks ago, 2 days before the rls date, with the internets plugged out and got online now, aprox six weeks after the rls date, WE F**KING BAN YOUR ASS ANYHOW (coz back then you played that game before the street rls, now we know, so now we got you) ! ...?

been checking out the streams and most of the guys are from the states, could be possibly you are in an area where they haven't broken the street date?

I doubt this has anything to do with the games being pre-release, because MS has stated publicly that people who bought the game are safe from bans, therefore pre-release is NOT the issue.
Also, Gears of War 2 was released like a month early if i recall, and no one was banned for that at all (me included).
Which leads to the one obvious fact, Borderlands (and I'm assuming Forza) are plain old bad rips that MS is able to detect, and they are claiming it as pre-release ban.
This is the same thing as Halo ODST. French rip was bad, people got banned, proper Halo ODST was released STILL prior to official street date and no one was banned (me included).
Blame this on bad rips, NOT pre-release play.

Btw, here's what someone said on a comment relalted to Borderlands:

good job I only play these kinda games only on my band machine,only take them on my unbanned machine on live when there officially released,So anyone have any idea how long these suspensions likely to be? indefinite or a month or 2?
