I'm not sure if there is another topic that deals with this problem, but here goes...

I'm trying to play downloaded games on my Wii. Installing homebrew was no problem, and playing VC games is also no problem.

However, I'm not exactly sure how to play the 'big' games. I downloaded an iso, which is over 4gb big. I know the SD card has to be formatted in FAT format for this purpose. Where do I go from here?

I'm guessing putting the iso on the card is not the way to go, since I doubt the Wii has a built-in Daemontools like app. However, I tried isobuster on the ISO but it can't find any files. How do I proceed after downloading the game?

According to all the guides I've seen online so far, You're supposed to put in on an SD card. And before I figured that out, I already tried burning one and it didn't work Smile

So just to be sure here, you can't run dl'ed Wii games with an SD card and the homebrew channel? Is this backup loader an actual physical device, or another piece of software?

theoretically yes, but i don't know about practically and with which games it works. backup loaders are just software run through the HBC.
