I think this is a very interesting idea and wonder if they will be able to get the numbers. Also if they do indeed succeed then they will have generated a massive fan base for their next game. If they do not then gamers will have donated quite a lot of money to charity.
Hmm, 10 000 000 preorders in just over a month? If they partnered with humble bundle it might be possible. But sadly as it is right now I somehow doubt they'll be able to pull that off, especially since people who pay aren't guaranteed to get the game, unless the goal is met. Correct me if I am wrong though.
You pay $1, you get the game if they sell 10 million.

(and you get the soundtrack, too)
If they DO NOT sell 10 million pre-orders, they give all the money to charity. Since there is no way they are going to get 10 million pre-orders, they are basically saying "we're going to give all this money to charity."
Simple.

The only issue here is how they handle selling the game if they don't hit the 10mil. They'll give all the money to charity and sell the game at its full price (34$) with a 1$ discount. What about those people who pre-ordered more than one copy? 1$ of each pre-order, or 1 pre-order with the total money already paid knocked off?
It's obviously a way for them to generate buzz, and get free advertising. Personally I'd rather donate to a charity of my choosing, since they will never reach 10 million.

We shall seeee...
Of course it'll be $1 off each pre-order and not one pre-order minus what you paid. This is nothing more than a publicity stunt with the proceeds of the stunt going to charity.
And they'll be lucky to sell 10,000 copies of the game at $33.90. Good luck to them!
I see it as a win win situation. I don't care much for charitys but I do however support developers thinking outside of the box so I threw down a few bucks for that reason alone. Whether or not the game is going to suck, I support what they're doing.
The thing is from what could be heard or read this game may not be worth even 1$.

I've seen a couple of gameplay clips and it looks good. It's slightly like a Dead Space clone for now. The beginning of November isn't that far away to see what the final product will be like...

It was 9 years in development starting as a Fallout clone in P/A Europe to become Dead Space clone. The developing team changed a few times and from what some freelance artists working on it wrote it is a slack job.
But maybe there was some kind of a miracle and it will be actually good.
It's not the same game. Afterfall:Insanity is placed in the same universe, but is an action game. Afterfall RPG was postponed indefinitely and the crew was laid off.
Their English is pretty similar though
"NOTE: Make sure three times, you have entered the correct e-mail address - we will not ask you for additional one."
I had to read the Polish version to understand what they meant
As I said before the game looks like Eurotrash to me, for the moment I don't like what I see very much.
This is a publicity stunt but it definitely works for them, hell now we have a dedicated thread for this, that almost never happens here, so people that haven't ever heard of the game, now learn about it for the first time.
The preorder numbers won't even reach 100k I think, and if they do, then I doubt they will reach 200k.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
1k more pre orders since I went to bed and woke up 10 minutes ago. They won't even reach 100k and that is pretty sad, good concept but pathetic trying to aim that high.
