I believe thats what he's doing, I can't see that he's speaking for anybody but himself.
He make his own assumptions and then he speaks about them, an expression of his own opinion no doubt.
Haha, well if they were to "realize that everything besides good old 2D turned out to be a steaming pos" it would take much more than his opinion.
[Looking for a silly reason lol, I'm a bit touchy on the subject because I quite liked the 3D ones, and was disappointed not as many liked them as the 2D ones. ]

Well maybe he needs your signature then - regardless this is going off topic.
Last worms game I played was the third one, I can't remember if it was 3d or not, but it seems redundant when theres some good open source games with as good graphics as the 2d worms.
I, too, got excited when I saw this on Gametrailers, listed for PC and XBLA. But after doing some research, I'm pretty much positive that this is currently only slated for XBLA. So, I'm sure it'll still be a solid Worms game, but you'll need a 360 to play it.
Also, this game has a sorta confusing name. I know that it's called "Worms 2," because it is a sequel to the first XBLA Worms game, which was just called "Worms." But as a fan of the older Worms games, it was at first confusing to see it called "Worms 2: Armageddon," when there have already been game called "Worms 2," and a game called "Worms Armageddon" (which was basically Worms 3).
Correcting people since 2007 even if they're not wrong.
I'm pretty sure that this was a mistake on GT's part; it looks like they assumed that this is a port of Worms Armageddon, which is why they list it as a PC game, also.
In fact, according to comments on their Facebook page, it seems definite that this game, called "Worms 2: Armageddon," which is a sequel to the first XBLA "Worms" game, is indeed XBLA-exclusive.
However, there is good news. They did say that they are working on a new Worms title for PC, which will be coming to Steam later this year. They said that it will be based off of the XBLA "Worms 2: Armageddon," but won't be the exact same game.
So, yes, there is a new 2D Worms game coming to PC, but it is NOT the exact same game seen in the trailer on GT. That version of the game remains an XBLA exclusive.
End of discussion, W2:A is coming to PC via Steam.
I see no posts or quotes from Team 17 staff or representatives in that thread.
I'm basing my info off of a direct statement statement by a T17 employee, from their facebook page:
"We're planning on bringing a new title to PC via Steam later in the year, most likely based on the game we're developing for XBLA currently"
They're making a new PC Worms game based on W2:A, but not necessarily the exact same game. End of discussion.
(Yes, I'm anal about accuracy. Bottom line: new 2D Worms game coming to Steam.)
The credibility of the person posting on Facebook (a PR) is the same as the mod on the forum:

As said there will be a PC release of Worms 2: Armageddon - likely to be via digital download only (Steam possibly). More to be confirmed later, and if you're really lucky I might even update this thread when it gets confirmed The game may even get its own subforum nearer to release.
Also, the mod's comment is from June 11th, while the Facebook comments are from March. You can anally analyze every one of my words, we'll talk when the games are released.
This is a console game first, rather than PC. It's based on Worms Open Warfare 2 & Worms Armageddon. WOW2 metacritic'd around 82% and yes, it's a lot of fun.

Lengthy trailer showing various aspects of Worms 2: Armageddon, coming very soon to XBLA and later to PC/Mac.

This is very difficult for me to write, but read all my post before commenting.
When we 1st announced this title, it was just going to be a port of the 360 version for PC and we got quite a way down the conversion path, but we encountered major problems with the 360 version so work was halted on the PC version.
Since then we have come to the conclusion that just doing a port is not going to be good enough and the comments in this thread and others back that up, so work has not recommenced on the project as yet, so bad news is it's not coming out this year.
At it's heart the new PC title will be the 360 version and then some and work is scheduled to start up again soon.
I know lots will be dissapointed, but we want to do this right.
I also want to say sorry for keeping you in the dark this long, but the truth of the matter is that my hands have been tied whilst decisions were made. I can't come on here and discuss internal politics and every decision that is made, but it was also unfair to keep this thread going on like this.
