it had loads of really well choreographed brutal action sequences, and was fun as hell for me - exactly what i want from a pure action movie, none of this half-baked dramatic crap that usually ruins action films because the character and world could never support it anyway..

It was closer in attempting to be like the comic books but in every crucial way it failed. The villains were poorly cast(and Jigsaw is a pretty weak one already, imo) and the characters used were poorly implemented. The best Jigsaw storyline is pretty cool, though from what I remember(not the one used in the movie). But Ray Stevenson was a better casting choice!
Hey, Tomas LAME version was best IMO. The steak and popsicle was hilarious.
War Zone was so bad, filmed in Bulgaria/Romania/etc, Steven Seagal-grade shit. Yuck.
The show will feature Marvel’s angry vigilante Frank Castle, but this won’t be the version of the character you’ve seen in almost any other incarnation. The TV version of the Punisher will be Frank Castle, NYPD detective by day, and vigilante by night. Think of The Equalizer, only with many more guns.
So noone in the industry can actually do a proper adaption of Ennis' MAX comics, it's hardly fucking rocket science.
