Quote: | Medal Of Honor 2 is already in development at EA LA sub-studio Danger Close, following successful sales of the first game.
Danger Close chief and MoH executive producer Greg Goodrich revealed the news this evening.
Writing on the official EA Medal Of Honor blog, he said:
"Yes, Danger Close is currently working on the next Medal of Honor.
"Just recently, EA announced that the reboot of Medal of Honor was a big success with over 5 million copies sold. We wanted to take a moment to thank each of you for supporting us, our new studio and our storied franchise. We would especially like to thank all of the long time Medal of Honor fans out there who have stuck with us over the years.
"Since our launch last October, we've studied, listened and absorbed much of your feedback and are very excited to be marching forward on the next title. We can't wait to tell you more about it, so check back often to the website and the fan page on Facebook.
"As you all know, our goal was to tell the story of today's soldier and to do so with the utmost respect and reverence. We've received many letters, emails and messages from active servicemen and women from around the world, along with veterans and their families, with appreciation for our recent depiction of their community. I can't tell you how important this is to everyone here at Danger Close Games. You are the heartbeat of this team and this franchise and we are privileged and honored to tell your story. Medal of Honor has always been fueled by the passion of our fans and the commitment and sacrifice shown by the men and women of our armed services.
"It's going to be a fun ride for the Medal of Honor franchise. We are happy to have you aboard." |

they would have had to have learned a HELL of a lot from the travesty that was the MOH reboot, if this game is going to be any good.
step number one: dont portray an elite soldier as a bearded tosser that wears DARK SHADES AT MIDNIGHT.
of course thats only the first step on a looooooooong list of shit that needs fixing.

My only hope is that the single player campaign will be shorter and easier than the first one, I remember having spent entire weeks trying to finish the game, facing extreme frustration and discouragement.

Quote: | Eurogamer: Now EA has two major multiplayer: Battlefield and Medal of Honor. Are you going to do a kind of cycle between the two?
Karl Magnus Troedsson,: said to help in multiplayer Medal of Honor, but the overall strategy is EA and they chose Danger Close to this game and Battlefield DICE in Sweden ...
Eurogamer: So you will leave to work with Medal of Honor?
Karl Magnus Troedsson,: DICE multiplayer will probably not make the next Medal of Honor, but it's something I can not confirm. Our idea is to give each the time Battlefield development to achieve the necessary quality and innovation, and that usually a couple of years. |

Damn, i remember the first Medal of Honor on the PSX. Would just watch friends play it and be happy.....watching them shoot enemies in the knees, and watching them react. Was great for the time.

It's out already.
Spoiler: | Medal.of.Honor.Pacific.Assault.Directors.Edition-RELOADED |
Anyway, why the hell do they need to make all these once great military shooter franchises the same multiplayer shit? Look EA, how about you don't add any multiplayer to this one and focus on an actual great singleplayer campaign, because that's what Medal of Honor used to be about a lot of time ago.

Quote: | MEDAL OF HONOR UNIT PATCH
Hello everyone. This is a HUGE week for shooter fans around the world with the release of Battlefield 3 from our good friends and colleagues at DICE! Make sure to check it out. You might even find a little something Medal of Honor related in the Battlefield 3 game box.
Here at Danger Close Games we have also been extremely busy working on the next installment of Medal of Honor. I can't wait to fill you in on the details.
For those of you who played last year's game, you may recognize a connection to the unit patches we created for the Tier 1 AFO Teams, "Wolfpack" and "Neptune" - as well as the 1/75th Ranger and "Gunfighter" badges. Unit patches are synonymous with the military community and have a rich heritage. Today we unveil the very first in a series of four new unit patches from the next Medal of Honor game. We are not quite ready to release the name of this unit yet, but it should give you a good idea of what type of team you'll be a part of in our upcoming game. Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get the latest details as soon as they are released.
WE'RE EXCITED TO KICK OFF OUR NEW "MOH DOWNRANGE" BLOG SERIES
I'd also like to take a moment to introduce my good friend Mark Christianson, Executive Editor of "Off Duty Gamers" and a part of our Medal of Honor family. Mark is a retired Paratrooper from the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division, and has the unique ability to combine the insights of a proud military service with the digital world of shooter games. And he does it like no one else. We are excited to have Mark kick off our new "MOH Downrange" blog series with his overview of the tradition and heritage of the military unit and morale patch.
Lastly, and most importantly, the team here at Danger Close Games would once again like to say "Thanks" to our servicemen and women around the globe. This Veteran's Day, November 11th, will mark the 12th anniversary of the very first Medal of Honor. A game which paid tribute to the greatest generation and was born of a warrior's experience. As we continue to push forward, your commitment and sacrifice remains the heartbeat of this franchise and we are privileged and honored to tell your story.
Stay tuned for more to come.

Well...cool.
I didn't think MoH 2010 was THAT bad, but definitely disappointing.
Since they mentioned Veteran's Day I'm sure a trailer will be released then.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Well, if DICE aren't touching the MP on this then I might consider buying it. Not that DICE is a shitty MP developer just that their baby is BF and not MoH and if they'd do MP here as well it would probably end up with them just abandoning it after half a patch.

Quote: | According to the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine, the game is called Medal of Honor: Warfighter. The sequel to the 2010 reboot is again being developed by Danger Close studios and follows the story of Tier 1 Operators.
Multiplayer is being developed in house this time, not by DICE.
The game also uses the Frostbite 2.0 engine, the same engine that powered Battlefield 3. |
