Well, last weekend I decided I'd give in and buy a PS3 because I've been wanting to play MGS4 and some other exclusives for a very long time and I also wanted a bluray player.

On Monday (early in the morning) this week, I ordered two games to start with, Little Big Planet and Metal Gear Solid 4. I bought both of them from two different places, because that was the cheapest way. On tuesday, I went and bought my PS3 from a retail store, because the price was almost the same as online, and it's easier to turn it in if it fucks up or anything.

On Wednesday I got my Little Big Planet, just as I'd expected.

Now, Thursday, I'm still sitting here waiting for my Metal Gear Solid 4 game. It said it had been sent yesterday... It took them two fucking days to send out a game they had in stock. And it hasn't arrived yet, so if it doesn't arrive tomorrow, I'll have to wait until Monday.

Now, I know, you might be thinking "It's just a game." and normally, I'd agree. But I'm a HUGE fan, I mean, I remember back when I had Metal Gear Solid for PSX, I played it through at least twenty times, I'm not kidding... I'm obsessed with completing everything when it comes to MGS games. I think I completed the second one ten or eleven times, and last time I played it, was back when Xbox was still popular. I never got myself a PS2, so I've never played the third one, which I've always felt a bit pissy about. So I've been waiting to play a good MGS game for many years now.

I'm just so extremely impatient now that I know I'll get to play a great MGS title once again. Little Big Planet is great and addictive, but it just aint MGS. Razz

So anyhow, yeah, I'm pissed about this online store, will never buy from there again. They have cheap prices, no shipping cost, but they're slow as fucking hell. I guess I should've known this, but it was such a good price. :<

The store I'm talking about is http://www.spelbutiken.se/ by the way, do not order from there unless you're willing to wait a week or so, and judging from online-store reviews, it seems this one is failing badly.

Anyway, I just had to whine about this cause my mates are getting tired of me hyping myself up about it. Laughing

You do know you've got to go through roughly half a hour of cut scenes before you get to play MGS4?
Well I wouldn't care as I am also a big fan - not big enough to make me buy a PS3 yet but anyway.
I know how you feel because, seriously, haven't we all been through that at one point or another? I had that with either GTA IV or Mass Effect, pre ordered it but due to delivery fuck ups I got it four days after store release date.
Those were the days in which I discovered how fucking impatient I can get if I really really want something Very Happy

Btw. Right now I am fighting the urge to buy a Wii and NDS Lite at retail price...
Damn my parents for teaching me the value of money ;D

Something I felt would be a nice piece of info Wink
There's this group of people The Speed Gamers (I posted a thread about them in the general section but nobody cares, whatever) who do marathon speed runs of games, sometimes for a charity, sometimes not.
And they are going to do a 72 hour Metal Gear Solid marathon starting June 19th.
So if you like MGS take a look at their site www.thespeedgamers.com
They are a really funny bunch, I watched their last Zelda marathon and it was hilarious.
Also on another note they are doing a Earthbound marathon this weekend so take a peek, see what they're like but I'm pretty sure you'll be entertained Wink

Haha, I experienced the exact same thing (almost) when I was waiting for MGS4 Very Happy

I ordered MGS and GT5P from Spelbutiken first, but that seemed to take too long, so i cancelled it. Then I ordered from Edgestore. Then i get an email the day after that its out of stock! I was furious by then Razz Then I finally ordered it from Webbhallen, not the cheapest price but delivered on time! Smile

Well sometimes even time has a price I guess.
Funny thing is, that one time was actuall the only time I have had problems with delayed delivery and I never had to switch around my online shops like that Very Happy
Guess I was just lucky up to now

And you know what? I got the game the day i was expecting it, but i was at work as usual. So my gf gets on MSN and says that it didn't arrive that day either.. ofcourse she was just fooling me cause she knew how fucking much i was waiting for it Laughing

I'm gonna the same thing when FFXIII comes out, muahahaha, then we'll see who's laughing!
(But then again, she checks abgx when a game she wants approaches releasedate, so my plan will most likely fail Razz)

Time to play obsessively the whole damn day! Shocked

*edit* Okey, it's fucking good. Razz

I really really love the buying/selling weapons stuff, and I really like the customization you can do to weapons. So far, I like it as much as I liked MGS1, I'm not used to the radar yet though.

NICE! Smile

Its hard tho bro. And the last few bosses are fuckin hard.

Gunna play it tomorrow ALL DAY LONG bro Smile Today, gunna play some other games till the girl gets home then I gotta go out tonite I think (I hope she changes her mind, I don't feel like going out to a party or bar or anything of the sort...rather go out Sunday cuz its a long weekend this weekend in Canada).

MGS are all awesome games - played on NES, Gameboy color, PC and PS2. I recently borrowed my brothers' PS2 to play MGS2 and 3 once again. I think Snake Eater (third one) and Metal Gear Solid on GB color are my favourites.
I also can't wait to play MGS4 (maybe when i finish 2 and 3).

PS. If you havent played the MGS on Gameboy - try it. Its very nice.
