i dled the movie bourne supremacy dvdrip brutus and iextracted the video and it doesnt appear to have sound. there were two files with .sub and .idx extensions. anyone wanna help me?

This movie doesn't have sound, it's a mime movie!
It's a tribute to Charlie Chaplin, the movie is based on his life.

i suspect you have a codec missing. try downloading video lan client and play it with that....no more codec worries... jesus christ was a gangsta rapper. they killed him. he came back and made a platinum album.

if its a 2 disk rip, it prolly has ac3 audio. try playing it with windvd or other pc dvdplayer or find ac3 audio codec.

Yeah VLC is great. You could also try a mPlayer win32 conversion.

If I burn it to a dvd will the sound still be missing?

Just use a program called G-spot and look what codecs you are missing.
