For a unknown reason when i set EDID in the Catalyst Control center of my Radeon 48** card my monitor is not correctly detected and the max available resolution is 1600*1200.
Now i'm used to running in 1900*1200 for programming purposes, no problems if i deselect EDID but it seems the latest games want EDID active to display correctly.
Does there exists a tool wich would let me change rapidly EDID active or not and resolution ?
I tried the profile setting in Catalyst Control Center but seems buggy as hell.
All this in XP.
PS , Yes i installed the most recent monitor driver but for whatever reason Catalyst Control Center still uses the Default Monitor setting.
It seems also that EDID gives big trouble at OS boot with a KVM and the KVM is switched to another computer, at boot only a basic resolution is available with EDID active.
