Oh man, this game is one of my favourite 2D fighters of all time. I still play it now, well over a decade after release.

Jaguar FTW!! Very Happy

I tried the 3D remake (Battlegrounds) and it's hideous :-\

Sabin, with what settings do you play OMF under dosbox? It works too fast here. Sad

Aye! Main Menu > Gameplay > Speed

Smile

Menus are still a bit fast, but you can always adjust that on the fly by changing the cycles. Also, I strongly recommend using D-Fend Reloaded as it has a built-in profile for One Must Fall Very Happy

I would be completely hooked on a straight 2.5D remake of this game. Maybe you could add multiplayer but other than that leave it pretty alone and i'd love it.

I haven't thought of mentioning this but there is an opensource remake of this game in progress. It uses the original resource files and wants to add better network support for one thing.

So Much Win

I'd love to see a modern day remake of *so* many games, such as Moonstone, Dreamweb, Pandora, etc... but this? This would be at the top of my request list Very Happy

~edit~

Tried 0.6.5, the latest release, and it's SO nice to see it running natively without the need of DOSbox Very Happy Still has a long, long ways to go however. There's a lot of glitches and issues, hitboxes feel weird and there's no weight or presence to any of the HARs, sound issues as well. It's great to see it taking shape though and they're planning on adding optional enhancements once the base program is done Smile
