That's why there's a 63.728% chance of profit if buying now. |
there's always profit to be made. if someone decides to buy it, they gotta pay you for your stocks.
also it's like Poland's only export so... it will survive. long term you can make at least 2x of what you put in. so not that bad.

This game is STILL buggy as hell (playing v1.52).
Quote: | Initial release date: December 10, 2020 |
1.5 years after release and it's more beta than a complete game. Meh. Random crashes, cars spawning above ground, characters voices suddenly disappearing (cut scene.. and only happens to one character while a second characters voice is still working fine), glitches galore etc. etc. etc. It's affecting the experience quite a bit.

I played 1.52 from the start for about 10 hours, so far only two glitches regarding floating dead bodies, otherwise zero quest and cutscene issues and not a single crash. I'm maybe lucky but this is way more stable than e.g. Skyrim without unofficial patches. I would go as far as to recommend this (in current state), it's been among better games in the last two years.
The machine is Win10, i5-9400, 16 GB of RAM and RX 570 with 8 GB. I'm keeping v-sync and 60 fps frame rate cap on, just in case.

It is in this state say +/- 2 months post launch. But people like to hate.

Yeah, you cracked the case, Sherlock. Half a million people on Steam alone banded together over the last 2 years with the number #1 complaint being bugs. Positive or negative reviews, all mentioning the same thing. And they did all this, throwing away $60 in the process, all because they like to hate. The gaming press, forums, social media, developer admissions - they're all in on the scheme.
All you have to do is google the version number + 'bugs' to see the same issues that have persisted for all of this time. It's also worth mentioning that many imbeciles were claiming from day 1 onwards that the game was 'fine', despite the million and one obvious issues occurring around them.

I've played and finished the game on release. The bugs were the least of it's problems. The game is straight up unfinished, with unfinished story pieces, and game mechanics. The AI literally does not exist in the game.

I don't have a problem with that either. The game nails on the atmosphere, in that aspect feels similar to e.g. VTM Bloodlines which had 99 problems but the atmosphere wasn't one.

it's in a pretty OK state now, all the remaining issues are mostly things that i don't think CDP will fix, things like AI and RPG systems or how interactive the city is.
but it might be wise to wait for 1.6 since it's around the corner, in any case there's nothing that's "broken" in it's current state.

Well, yeah it is playable but just like in Borderlands3 most of what makes a game "quality" is still "broken":
-Like when hacking the animation when you pull out the wire from your arm is stuttering (adds one weird frame to the animation which is completley out of place)
-Monowire animation is the same deal
-Crafting is laughable like no feedback whatsoever, hold down the button and some ugly progress bar goes up....
And I could go on with stuff like this. Nothing game breaking of course, but these things are what raise the game to making you feel immersed.

Since the game launched, people have kept hoping the next patch might be the miracle patch that makes the game what they thought it was going to be and the only way that might ever happen will be if they make a sequel.

This. Also played on release and didn't even notice a lot of bugs, apart from visual artifacts (ignoring the non-existing AI and stuff, as I wouldn't call these bugs, just missing features ). There were 2 sidequests bugged that I couldn't finish, but the main story was relatively 'polished'.
It's just not a very good game, for what they promised and sold it for. The best parts were the Panam and Judy sidequests, followed by the River one.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

There's a few interesting missions. Was slightly disappointed that brainwashing one didn't go deeper.
All dem illuminati stayed in the dark in the end. Deeper dark than DX.
Asus, B550, 3700X, 3060, 32GB.

I am very pleased with the experience I had for the 19.99 USD I spent on this.
But almost all of the game felt like a beta, with incomplete or missing features.
Even a simple feature like walking felt so damn weird and janky compared to say... any immersive first person game like Metro Exodus, Dishonored 2 or even the Battlefield games.

Oh yeah, that one felt as if it was just unfinished, suddenly ending in the middle of the story like that.
I still hate the driving mechanism more than anything in this game. The cars act like pigs on roller-skates while driving. Even the motorbikes have annoying mechanics (and sound).

Patch 1.6 news tomorrow apparently |
So just another day of disappointment with this game most likely.

People who like Cyberpunk cringe everytime there is an update
Because it breaks the community mods that actually made the game better

If only devs would take a fucking look at Nexus and take inspiration from there when it comes to QoL and features for their games...
Hmmmmmmm....
Wait a sec.
CD Red actually DID that. But only for 5 bloody minutes. They took the motocycle light mod from Nexus and put it into the game.
