Topic read. Fucking assholes..

I signed an 18 month contract with them last year. Something like 8 months left.. I am dying to purchase the iphone and begin investing into making some apps with my freelance team. BUT, I try to settle my contract with vodafone and they wont have it. I have to pay the full 8 months subscription off and an added cancelation fee of £30. Thats around £330. Just to fucking cancel. I wouldnt mind paying say half of what I had left.. as im backing out of a contract, it seems fair. But not 100%. Fucking bs as I wont be using the service.

Such gays, O2 dont do this, neither do shitty T-mobile.. What a bunch of cunts Twisted Evil

why cancel it, if it only adds the cancellation fee on top of the 8 months that you have to pay for anyway?

so...let me get this, your mad cause YOU signed a contract with a cell phone company even when it'll say in the contract what you'd have to pay and now they expect you to do what you signed for.

the cancellation conditions were prolly written in fine print on the back of a 10 pages contract Laughing

here cancellation fees are usually $20/month for the rest of the contract to a maximum of $400.

common knowledge you'll have to pay a cancellation fee, most reps point it before you sign up.

you should google this "fact" because all cell phone companies do this including O2 and T-mobile.

Yeah, this is common. If you sign a contract which you did obviously because it got you a deal on a phone you wanted wgem...or even if it was just a contract...you have to pay off whatever is left on the contract and a cancellation fee.
Every provider is like this.
And its in the contract that you read before you sign up...hence you should always READ contracts before putting your John Hancock on it.

Im just angry because a buddy of mine settled a contract with O2 without paying it off. I know they negotiate. But vodafone dont negotiate.

Something that springs to mind is, did you actually sign a contract? I ask because, if you just clicked a box online to agree to the terms and conditions, what would they present in court if you said you weren't paying it?

My broadband is being installed tomoro by virgin media, they sent me a contract/direct debit to send back but i aint signing nothing if they carry out the install and give me the services.

It will bounce. The installers have to take the signed contract to begin the installation. If you dont provide that tomorrow, theyre straight back in the van until you do.
