First of all I would like to mention that I posted this message on Ubuntu forums and it went unanswered.

I am running a dual boot system with Ubuntu and Vista. I have two 500GB hard drives that are being striped as 1TB. I was running Ubuntu 8.10 and Vista Ultimate with GRUB boot loader and everything was working fine.
Recently I upgraded Ubuntu to 9.04 and that's when the problem started. I can see the optiions for the Ubuntu 9.04 and Vista in GRUB. Vista loads fine but Ubuntu does not load. It gives me a message "No Block Device Found" about four times then it goes to BusyBox.
Upon googling I found couple of suggestions. One is to type "mdadm -As". I tried this as SUDO but i get message that it doesn't know this command.
The second suggestion was to type "dmraid -ay" then type "exit". This worked for me but I have to do this everytime I log into Ubuntu. How I can fix this so I can go straight to Ubuntu from GRUB boot loader.

My PC specs are as follow:

Motherboard: Intel DP35DP
Processor: Intel Quad Core Q9450
RAM: 8GB DDR2
graphics Card: Nvidia 8800 GTS
Hard Drives: 2 X 500GB ( striped as 1TB)

This might sound idiotic but can you create a batch file that runs the commands for you or is that impossible because your at a dos prompt ?

You can always go back to the previous version of Ubuntu before the problem came up...
