Ok, getting back into gaming. Some of you may have seen it in my hardware thread, but now I need some PC games listed...
I've got a PS3/360/Wii which i've been using for the last 4 years, and haven't gamed at all on any other platform. I'm sick of FPS on consoles, so I want to start playing PC again.
I'm mainly interested in PC exclusives, or games I really shouldn't have played on anything other than the PC...
Here is my current list:
Crysis
Crysis Warhead
STALKER & it's sequel
Half Life - Orange Box
Left for Dead 1/2
Bad Company 2 (Never played this on console)
Modern Warfare 2 (Played it on PS3 but would rather play online on PC)
Serious Sam HD (Used to love Serious Sam)
I used to play things like Doom, Unreal, Duke Nukem, etc. I LOVED the first fear - never played the second - any point? Also loved Dead Space - anything else like that? Aka System Shock 2'y... Quake 4? (never bothered with this either)....!
Any other recommendations?

Are you interested in other genres different from FPS?
If yes, then you should definitely check:
Empire: Total War
The Witcher
Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Machinarium
Starcraft 2
Dragon Age Origins (it has been released on consoles as well, but the PC version is infinitely superior)
Risen (see above)

I played Fear 2 last month and it was ok. Currently playing BC2 and it's similar to MW2. I tried Stalker: call of pripyat and didn't like it :\
SS HD is fun if you want to reminisce yourself of old Sam  (other than new shiny textures there are no differences between this and tho old one).
I played bioshock 2 and liked it.
You should try Metro 2033, I loved the atmosphere.
Haven't played Crysis or Mass Effect 2 (they're on my to do list  ).
Ppl say GTA IV is totally uber 1337 awesome 11!!1  altho I have no urge to play it :\
There are really tons of games... Starcraft 2, Assasins Creed (1 & 2)...

Both Mass Effect games are worth being in EVERYONE's collection. The first one is more of an exploratory RPG, with action sequences, whereas the second one is more of an action sequence with some RPG. Camp's kinda split 50/50 right now over which one is the better game ... myself, I rate ME1 above ME2.

Bad Company 2 is playable online only with a legit bought serial  , while L4D 1/2 are both playable on cracked servers, but it's quite a pain to find decent servers  |

ok thanks, some things never change! if you pirate games, then you pay to play online. I kinda understand/agree with that.
looks like there are no copies of Crysis on usenet which aren't 500 days old, or contain trojans, so I may not be playing that one for a while!

If you have the computer for it Metro could be worth to play trough again with the new patch and DLC to see how much of a difference there is from the low/mid settings that the X360 version used compared to the PC edition, can't think of any real exclusives aside from Stalker as mentioned in terms of first-person games or action games.
(That haven't already been out on the X360 or PS3 that is, Amnesia or Cryostasis perhaps?)
EDIT: Second Encounter for Serious Sam's "HD release" is out as well since some time ago.

WTF do people not like playing the classics any more? First Crysis, now Stalker...!

Well FEAR 2 was nowhere as good as the original FEAR, but still it was an enjoyable old-school shooter with some excellent gunfights and a decent AI
Quake 4 (SP) wasn't bad either, if you're into atmospheric brainless FPS you should try it as well using this graphical mod: http://www.moddb.com/mods/g-t-x-q4
Also: Cryostasis, Call of Juarez BiB, Singularity, Wolfenstein are all good classic FPS that you might enjoy.
edit: You should also try Amnesia The Dark Descent, it's a first person psychological survival horror perfect for shitting your pants |

What's your load time with everything on? Just tried and and alt-tabed after 5-6 minutes, not sure if it would load or not but damn, that's to long.

These are absolutely the way to go FPS wise:
Team Fortress 2
Left 4 Dead / Left 4 Dead 2
Bad Company 2
Other games you WILL like:
Worms: Reloaded
Alien Swarm (Free from Valve)
Other games you MIGHT like:
Mafia II (Story is great, gameplay bit the same)
StarCraft II (Identical to Mafia II's criticism)
Just Cause 2 (Nice game, didn't play it a lot though, might belong at the WILL like list)
