Nintendo DS won't be the only console to see GTA in 2009 or 2010.

Sony will continue its aggressive strategy of promoting bigger releases on the handheld Playstation Portable. According to an interview with Sony's Stephen Totilo on MTV Multiplayer, the company is actively negotiating with Rockstar for more GTA games on the PSP.

When the talks are successful, it's likely that we'll see more games like Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories. However, there are no specific details or plans at the moment.

The relationship between Sony and Rockstar has been a topic of much discussion over the past year. Contrary to the way things were during the Playstation 2 years, Rockstar has distanced itself from Sony and instead worked together with both Microsoft and Nintendo. At first, we saw the two X360-exclusive DLC-packs for GTA4. This month, we’ll see the release of GTA: Chinatown Wars on the Nintendo DS.

but you know what Chinese whispers are like; some newbie will read your comment and suddenly run and spread it all over the internet that the new 2010 Banwave disables all your XBLA games when you're banned.

To be honest, I kinda expected SA-Stories ages ago when we got VC-Stories. It'd be good to see some real confirmation though, rather than a sales page from HMV.

I also always expected gta sa stories, but i wonder how they're gonna fit the whole San Andreas universe on a UMD disc. the first multi UMD game? would suck for a handheld.

I don't think you going to get the same. Maybe a half of what it is on comp and maybe a different story.

As time goes on they can compress and find better ways to store things. It might just mean fewer cutscenes (or shorter simpler ones)
