Unity was the first thing that came to my mind. It's an amazing piece of software, realy. I'm currently trying some stuff, and it's not that hard..

As for the game, another
Excellent stuff. Realy like the feel, it's a bit better than THPS.
Will it remain free or?

Thanks, yeah it will remain free.

And Unity is great I agree. Its extremely user friendly and very easy to work with. Although when you get into more complex stuff you notice how limited it is in some areas, and you don't have any option but to live with it since you can't change the underlying code. But it's still great for any small/medium sized title.
