I have the X-fi Titanium PCIE card with those speakers and everything is great. Upgraded from the audigy2zs as well. I know there are build-quality type things that are better with azunetech and asus, but unless you are an audiophile it's not worth the higher price, imo. It is kinda funny, I swore I'd never get another creative labs product because of probs with that soundcard and its support but to tell the truth I've been pretty happy with the x-fi.
I guess some questions in your situation are: Are you running vista/windows 7 or planning to? If so the support is seriously lacking with the audigys, whereas I've been very content with the drivers and apps for my x-fi in vista. To go along with that: are you looking for the very best sound in games? If so, the x-fi includes alchemy which maps all the legacy EAX soundmapping to the newer openAL standard. So that's a plus in that case.
There is also better support for using optical-out with the x-fi(and the others I guess) but as I just use the direct connections, I can't really say much on that point.
All in all, its just what you want and whatever you will be happy with in your setup.
