Today is my anniversary when I first created my account back in dec 31 2004
and four years later i sold my account in 5 minutes!
so much time I have wasted on that game...i lost passion for games...i cant get myself to play any other game but now i am free like bird to do whatever I want
I will never ever again pick up another MMO
time to move on
got some cash to buy new cpu+mb+ram

Will stargate be free to play or subscription?
I would love to play wow but TBC and WoTLK made the game so easy, I would pay 30$ to play on classic server but that will never happen..
people know game is easy and whine, yet they still play it..clinics aint gonna do anything good here
retards will continue to be retarded, people dont change

Subscribed to Warhammer Online at the moment. No time to play sadly. Next MMO I'm giving a spin is The Old Republic.
8 out of 10 dentists prefer zipfero to competing brands(fraich3 and Mutantius)!

Is anyone still online playing that ? Heard alot of servers kinda died after WotLK came out, was a nice game, though rushed a bit on the release.

Finuval Plain that we were on is pretty dead, there are some heavy populated servers still, though. I'm on karak8peaks. Still gonna give it a shot, when i get around to it :D

I played original WoW alot, did the raid thing to increase the ole e-penis. there's just too much whining and bitching, tho.
I picked up TBC and played to lvl 70, then left. I picked up WoTLK when it came out, but I'm playing it slowly, currently at lvl 75. It's a great game with loads of cool content, but it's only fun in small bunches. When I get to 80, maybe shortly thereafter, I'll hang it up till the next expansion.

Har har, I think stargate MMO will suck. I've seen the series, and even though it sucks donkey balls too - there's unfortunately nothing better in terms of sci-fi and budget and repetitiveness, which I so very much adore.
I think it will require a paradigm shift for anything to be as big as WoW ever was. What WoW did right is simplicity, depth of story which is absolutely optional, very powerful client (performs well on old hardware, never crashes, never fails), rutine, easy to feed that reward feeling but not too easy. Previous MMOs missed some or all of those points, but generally were attempts at the same thing. Now, we theoretically could change the milieu and call it a different game, but I belive that it just wouldn't work to say add resilliance rating to T7 gear to differentiate the game enough from competition. That's why Warhammer, Conan, et al - will all fail.
What then? Well, I think the next gen MMO will be more open ended; i.e. with people having more control over the environment. It'll be a kind of a social experiment and the kicker will be lack of control. As with all things, this change will come gradually - now we have that second life thing, it's the first step into the next direction. But... Second life is boring. There should be something else there - a lot of things, perhaps...
I could dream up a game that would be fun to play, but I will probably miss something - and that will make the game suck. This is what most developers are afraid of, and that's why open-endedness is such a hard goal to reach.
Also games suck, let's have a thread about girls. I like blond ones.
