|
 |
Hmm I'm having problems. I've got some really old FW on my drive - flash it about 1.5 years ago now or maybe even more, yes, 2 years probably.
I've patched this with the pff-o-matic shit and then burnt it. It told me i had to install an update (which turned out to be the new xbox dashboard experience thing). Yes it looks nice, but now when I try and launch the game, it tells me I have to apply another update. Clicking yes gives me a dirty disk error and restarts the console. Clicking no returns me to the main menu. Have I just had my first ever bad burn? Or do I still need to update my firmware? It seems so strange that the first patch / burn has resulted in a DDE.
Also, to note, I do see "Play Velvet Assassin" and a picture of the game listed which suggests it is reading the disk. It also installed the dashboard experiance update from the disk, as its not connected to the internet (banned from live already)
Someone help!

It doesn't tell me to update. Can I download the latest update on a USB stick?

Yes it should! It's normal that the update on the disc didn't work. It has to do with the patching, it seems some of the NXE files are stored in the video partition.
