I recently came across these devices called M3 and R4 while searching on how to mod the DS to play MP3s. Apperently these devices also play movies and roms in addition to playing MP3s. Are there any other similar products on the market? If so which is the recommended one.

You can play old GB games because the M3-Real has a built-in GB emulator .. and yeah, it's awesome. Next to the CycloDS, it's the best flashcart you can get.

Ignore the R4. It's outdated and crap. Get the CycloDS or the M3-Real with the GBA expansion.

Good device from what I've seen on the net, but the favourites are the CycloDS and the M3-Real.

The one reason I continue to love CycloDS is that whenever a games comes out that doesn't run quite right (freeze, crash, won't boot, whatever) the Cyclo team usually has a fix out ASAP (Chrono Trigger was fixed within 2 days).

Their service seems unmatched.

Yeah, but the difference is... the Cyclo needs the fixes, hehe. The M3-Real doesn't - it just runs everything you throw at it.

(Yes, I am most certainly an M3 fanboy Very Happy)

Heh, not sure that's true... I seem to recall everyone having problems with Chrono Trigger and now Phantasy Star Zero. ;P

I wouldn't know about PSZ or CT, as the DS is my mom's -- and I've not seen her in two months, lol. Every other game I've tried in the last year has worked flawlessly with no hassles.
