|
 |
gday fellas,
i like running my system as light as possible so first of all im running nod32 firewall and anti virus and want to know how good it is and if theres anything better.
i have a router and am thinking of moving to vista64 so instead of installing nod is it safe enough to have just the router + vista firewall and ? i want it to hog as less resources as possible so how about that and an a-virus mayb ill stick to nod unless anyone has any thing else to recommend?

Id keep the Nod firewall or some kinda 3rd party firewall (say Norton for example).
Windows firewall is crap by itself.

I personally would never trust a firewall made by such a corrupt company and especially one that has more pirated copies being used than anything in existance.

And so is his precious antivirus He probably has no idea how easy it is to get a working Kaspesky serial in a matter of seconds.
Everything gets pirated, deal with it. Just because something is pirated, it doesn't mean it can be cracked or hacked easier. BTW, real hackers/crackers can afford to buy the real thing and crack/hack it.

(well i do have an app that displays all ur connections, so i use that as a "firewall" ) |
The problem with this method is, while theoretically correct, it misses the occasional vulnerabilities in the operating systems. So having the Windows firewall (plus the firewall in the router) is the best solution for people who know what they are doing IMO.
