Been using ixtreme for a while now (currently on 1.5) yet I have never tried to install games to the Hard Drive. I am talking about original games being used on the hard drive of course... Is this something safe or unsafe to do with it being flashed? I know it doesn't do anything more than speed up loading times in some games... I've been looking for info on this directly but as of yet google and yahoo fail me Sad Then again I could just be using the wrong search strings.

First of all installing does more than speed up loading times. It reduces noise dramatically, in free roam games it reduces or eliminates pop in, it reduces amount of spinning parts in your xbox thus less heat.

And about safety, the moment you flashed your xbox you threw away safety. Nothing can guarantee that you will not be banned sooner or later. But yes you can install original games on HDD without problems, but using originals won't make you any safer.

The safety on flashing I pretty much figured and I generally wont burn any game that have not been played for a while as well as passing in both agbx and mulleter (not that this is a guarrantee to not get banned but its a little bit more on caution). I'll just fix the drive on my old 360 and use that one for installing games. Thanks for the reply though...

Mate, seriously... DO IT NAO.

You flashed the machine, so whether you play pre-release titles or not - your safety net has gone forever. IF MS are going to catch you, they'll do it. Just accept that and move on to using NXE as it was meant to be. Installing games to the HDD has fantastic benefits.
