running vista home 32bit, 8800gtx, 2 gigs ram, Quad Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz, game won't start.
all i get is black screen.

quite a few people at the ea boards having the same problem
http://forums.ea.com/mboards/thread.jspa?threadID= 451328&start=0&tstart=0

i've tried all the usual stuff.
disableing nod32,
running as administrator,
allowing through my firewall,

i'm using the zerosec image with the darc0der paul.dll.

when i run the game i get the busy icon for a sec, then black screen...
alt-tabbing out shows the exe is still running in the task manager.

anyone able to help with this one?

i've tried every version of the nvidia drivers, starting with 175 up to current beta version.

i've used nvidias command center to force off vsync, and a host of other tweaks.
i've uninstalled sound drivers and installed latest...

i just don't know on this one...i've had to borrow my sons copy on 360.
great game, but playing with a controller is complete shit...

anyone else?

I had the same problem, I'm running XP with a Radeon 4850 so I don't think the problem is graphic drivers...
Apparently even ppl with the retail version are having the same issues...
If You have some kind of controller (gamepad, steering wheel etc.) try to unplug it and then try to run the game, it seems to work for some ppl!!!
If that didn't work try to turn off your firewall, I have a Comodo firewall and the game started perfectly after I turned it off!!!
Hope it helps... Smile

I get a similar problem... mine loads in fine, but I get a garbled screen of visual artifacts.
Only Dead Space.. every other game works fine, cards not overheating, etc.

Using the Reloaded rls.
Vista X64/Quad core/ATI 4870.

Yeah I have, both the game and video card drivers... Sad

It's just this game tho, Fallout 3, etc are all perfectly fine.
