you've got to be kidding me "the last remnant". why not just call it "an RPG", it's that cliche.

Personally I'd call it "Hey look, we made a game"

Well at least they're porting some of their JRPGs to the PC. Maybe then, with more experience on the medium, SE will actually start making JRPGs that aren't just storybooks with interactive battle sequences.

I SO hope this game is good.
Will probably get this game for 360, though. Wonder why they stopped porting FF for PC

What do you mean, "Not officially announced"? Because it is most certainly officially announced for Windows. It just doesn't have a date yet.

Well, the two (or three counting the MMO, but MMOs are expected to be released on PC) that did come to PC were very much the exceptions to the rule.

The site I read about it (I forget where now...) said it wasn't officially announced for PC, just did a bit more research and it's coming out on 360 first on november 20 and PC a lil bit later. So...fucking...awesome.

I'd never expect a UE3 game to get a better score on consoles than PC.
Then again it's a jap game and their ports usually aren't all that great unless it's capcom doing it themselves

i think it's still a rpg at its core, just the battles are on a larger scale...seems to be more strategy involved while some of the micromanagement is automated

considering how sony enforces firmware upgrades to play certain games, it's only logical for microsoft to do the same. mybe you need some new code stuff from the nxe to play it or it is so massive it really needs the install

yeah some games already update the console before they are able to run, maybe it's the same with this but in one week we will know for sure

Holy shit!!
Dude, I didn't know this was coming for the PC too! Fuck yeah! Go Squeenix! Hopefully they'll fix the goddamn framerate on the 360 before then, though. *sigh*
00101010 wrote: | it's slightly offtopic but I heard this game needs the NXE on 360 to run |
Nah, it doesn't. I had TLR before the NXE came out - and it doesn't even have the dash update on the disk. HOWEVER! What the guy might have meant was; "You need to install this game to HDD before it will run PROPERLY"
... which is true. Running off the DVD is baaaaaaaaaaaad thanks to the piss-poor framerate and horrible loading times. Running off the HDD is still bad, but it's infinitely better.

Here's to the PC version, not having the framerate issues of the 360 thanks to the better hardware!
Ah, who am I kidding. Since it's an Unreal Engine game, it's going to be another shit port with massive pop ups. Shame. I enjoyed the game on the 360.
