Been a while since I bothered with a firewall and tbh, despite last nights idiocy, I probably dont need one. Still, I better put one on for at least a short while to be sure I'm not still running that evil password stealer!
Any suggestions? I don't want anything that takes up insane amounts of resources and has a million other features. Just looking for a nice clean firewall. Simple as that.

If you on XP, you should get Sygate..been using for last couple of years and couldn;t be more happy but it have not been updates in 2 years, i think since Symantec took it over and discounted it, nevertheless good firewall that use low resources
as for vista then, I have no idea..I'm using eset smart security does the job so far

Agnitum "Outpost Firewall Pro".
Link
The only "other" feature it has is runtime spyware scan. Can be disabled.

I'm using the kaspersky internet security suit but I think the best firewall I've used was sygate before symantec bought them out. Try finding the version before that. It's very imformative. Shows whats connecting to the internet, what traffic is coming in and out.

and when you click that details button

Or if using Vista, use the included firewall but set to block both inbound and outbound connections unless they match a fule. Everything is blocked unless you manually add a rulset to allow a program internet access.
Folk may mock it's cumbersome interface, and I'd agree, but it does work well and uses little resources.

It should. Vista isn't that bad. Most of my stuff from XP runs on it no problem.

If you have Vista just run wf.msc. You don't need third party soft-walls in vista - As the one included with Vista is a huge upgrade from XP SP2's firewall. Vista allows you to set inbound/outbound rules by port, IP, or even application.
