When searching for NFOs, periods (.) should be replaced with a space (meaning if I search for 3D.Total.Textures.Vol.3 then it should actually look for 3D Total Textures Vol 3) This is some easily-addable functionality that can help a great deal, because for instance, I can just copy and paste the folder name without replacing the periods with spaces.

No it shouldnt ! some releases have dots in them and releases with different versions have dots in them as well, replacing the dots with spaces will break searching for that kind of stuff properly.

Then just make it run '2' searches in that it checks with a period and a space, using a POSIX function.

oh yea... and running 2 searches everytime wont cause any load on the cpu's ? Rolling Eyes

I have another solution Gary... dont.be.so.lazy.when.using.the.search.function... a dot or a space.. its the same amount of keystrokes in the end.. Smile

     .-.
'=(0.0)='
.='|m|'=.

Two searches? No way. We could add a little option that you'd check if you want the dots replaced with spaces tho.

Last time i checked the standars was using _ or . instead of spaces in all warez titles? might be wrong, if so.. pls dont hurt me.

always wondered... why is that? the "." and "_" thing. i figure it has got to do with the old days, if some bbs's or something didn't support spaces?
